Literature Text
As we look back on our lives
And we look at who we are today
We look and we wonder
Is this how we’ll stay
Will we meet
Ten years from now down the road
We’re different in a million ways
And ask where did the time go
Most likely to succeed
Is homeless on the street
Freezing every winter
Then comes summer with the heat
Most likely to win a Grammy
Is now teaching third grade
With her acting skills and coaching gone
She wonders at the choices she made
Most likely to be in jail
Is now the richest man in the class
We never took him seriously
Now he has the last laugh
Most likely to get married
Is single and heart broken
Chasing after hopeless men
Just to have her heart stolen
Most likely to be Picasso
Has long since given up her art
To start a career in fashion
And give herself a brand new start
Most likely to fail college
Now has a PhD.
He showed the world is talent
That no one else could see
Most likely to become a model
Has dyed her hair and changed her clothes
Is living a life of poverty
Instead of runway shows
Most likely to be an Olympian
Never had a chance to try
He was hit by a drunk behind the wheel
Now most likely to die
Most likely to leave this town
Now works building trains
Stuck working all day in a factory
He never caught that plane
Most likely to discover a cure
Gave up science long ago
We think he moved to an island somewhere
But that is all we know
Most likely to smile
Is now never seen without a frown
It turns out a hardened life
Has turned it upside down
When we meet
Will we come together once more
And rejoice at what we have become
And look to what’s in store
And as our lives part once again
We say our goodbyes and wipe our tears
For we are the class voted Most Likely
To stay together for years.

Today while sitting in Yearbook and going over all kinds of stuff, I got the idea for this poem and planned it out pretty much all day while I should have been paying attention. And by the time I got home I pretty much had it done and I like how it turned out. Enjoy!

this really really got to me for some reason, I like the sense of reality and how ironic it can be.
